Fear not: A balanced career is within reach
See how to achieve career fulfillment
"Fear" has often been described as a clever acronym meaning "False Expectations Appearing Real".
Or perhaps even "Forget Everything And RUN!".
Haaa, I particularly like this one☺
But let's cut to the chase:
When mapping out your career transition or aiming for work-life balance, realistic expectations are a must.
Running? Us, women?
That's definitely not in the cards.
We're in this for the long haul. That doesn’t mean we don’t have fears.
Perhaps, like many professionals and working moms out there, you've experienced a fear of success.
An apprehension about how life could change once you achieve work-life balance and find fulfillment in your work
Another fear may be of criticism or being misunderstood by family and coworkers.
This could lead to further stress, heightening your feelings of being overwhelmed.
As a result, this could lead to strained relationships at work and at home.
Nurturing this fear could result in exhaustion, negativity, and depression. Indeed, it might already be causing a lack of fulfillment in your work and personal life.
Surely this is a fear that needs to be put to bed if you wish to achieve work-life balance.
As the great Mark Twain once said, "Do the thing you fear most and the death of fear is certain.
Perhaps this rings true for you, too.
This fear might be the only thing standing between you, your ideal career, feeling proud of your accomplishments, and the satisfaction of having more time and energy for yourself and your loved ones.
Maybe, just maybe, it's blocking you from reaching your full potential.
I believe that this fear factor, coupled with toxic work environments and societal pressures, is to blame for your struggle.
And it comes at a high cost: it can lead to strained relationships and a general sense of lack of fulfillment.
In my early career, I fell into this fear trap too.
Luckily, I overcame it using the principles I now share in my Vanishing Report No. 23: “From Burnout to Fulfillment, 7 Steps to Your Ideal Career”
It is structured as a series of scientific exercises that will lead you to the answers you seek.
Namely fulfilled work.
They don’t require much of your time. And they will serve as your internal guide and give you insight, especially if you’re feeling stuck in your career.
I know how it feels to be paralyzed with indecision. It feels horrific.
I want to help you and other women with a small nudge, a kind, friendly gesture to let you know you are not alone. There is certainly a way out of this misery.
Help is coming your way.
This is the kind of help friends give to each other – no strings attached.
But you will know, once you start doing the exercises. You will see and feel the difference.
Over the course of my advisory role spanning several decades, I've helped friends, colleagues, and even "frenemies," develop a fearless approach to their career transitions.
More often than not, it was this very fear that held them back from achieving work-life balance.
Now, here's what's real: what works for me or other successful professionals and working moms might not be the ideal solution for you.
But laying your fears to rest? That’s a universally wise move.
I hope you found this helpful!
