Finally, Career Fulfillment Without Settling for Less

Discover Your True Path with Expert Guidance

When I was in my mid-40s, I found myself in a perplexing inner dialogue about my career...

A voice said sharply: “It’s too late to start something new.”

But another voice argued, “You’re not even in your prime.”

Then, the first would list all the reasons I should feel belated, and the other would argue back.

On the outside, I had a dream career: a high-level job, excellent pay and benefits, a great working environment...

But inside, I was slowly dying.

I tried everything to help myself:

  • Pushed for promotion – satisfaction level when it finally happened? Zero.

  • Considered switching companies – but as I was about to resign, I questioned if it was what I really wanted. The answer was no.

  • Consulted a career counselor – but standard advice didn’t help.

So, I did what any reasonable person would do: I told myself I was being ridiculous and doubled down on my efforts in my current job... even taking on more unpaid responsibilities, thinking it would satisfy my soul.

You see where this is going.

What happens when you hide from something?

It haunts you in your dreams... your body starts to ache from all this repressed pain, and finally, anxiety and depression arrive as the crown jewels.

It went from bad to worse to a nightmare.

Finally, I stumbled upon Carl Jung’s psychology, which helped me understand that we have two halves of life with different (sometimes opposite) agendas.

In the first part of life, we are ego-driven, finding our place in society, raising families, building careers. For women, often putting others' needs before our own.

In the second half of life, the midlife years, we are internally driven. It’s all about what the soul wants.

If we fail to focus on what we really want NOW, independent of past "shoulds," we continue playing out old scripts... walking in "shoes too small," as Carl Jung said.

Well, I became a Jungian coach and now counsel women who are going through what I experienced.

This week only, I’m offering free advice to women stuck in their careers and looking for ways to get unstuck.
